News from

Leeds Festival CATs

18 Jul 05

Please note the Festival Volunteers (CATs & HATs) moved to the Hotbox Events website in early 2009.

Thank you for all of your applications to date - we're now at 50% capacity for Leeds Festival CAT volunteers!

There seems to have been a little confusion regarding the Leeds Festival volunteer/employment options within the DC Site Services online application form - we'll try to clear this up below - although please do feel free to get in touch if you have any further queries:

There are 2 Leeds Festival options/check boxes within the DC Site Services online application form - the option/check box titled:

Leeds Festival (Carling Weekend)

Is NOT the CAT option, this is for DC Site Services traffic marshal and safety steward applications - this is paid work rather than volunteering, although Please note: as of May 2005 DC Site Services had received near to 1500 applications, and are therefore fully staffed for the Leeds Festival.

The option titled:

Leeds Festival CATs (Carling Weekend)

Is the Leeds Festival CAT application check box.

Please note: A number of applications have come in with both of the above options checked - If you are hoping to come to the Leeds Festival as a CAT - please do send in your deposit cheque ASAP to avoid disappointment.

We plan to send out a briefing pack to all CATs who have secured their places via paying the deposit in mid-August. This will hopefully answer many of your questions about the CAT role at the Leeds Festival.

In the meantime - please do keep an eye on the Leeds Festival CAT Volunteers section of the forum;this covers frequently asked questions and also has an area for you to chat with others CATs if required.

If you would rather email us directly please do so.

Again thank you for your applications & we look forward to meeting you all in August!
